Dorset will host a "beauty pageant" on the Dorset Green for lawnmowers at least 50 years old. There will be a brief lecture on lawn maintenance in earlier times, followed by demonstrations of some fine old machines, some of which are valuable collectibles. Prizes for both self-propelled and push mowers will be awarded. Pre-registration is via the Dorset Chamber website, www.dorsetvt.com. Spectator involvement begins at 1:00 PM.
