Buenos dias! As you may know, in many Vermont elementary and middle schools, World Language has been cut or reduced due to budget challenges! As a high school Spanish teacher at Colchester High School, I have discussed this at length with members of the Chittenden County community who are still seeking Spanish language and culture instruction for their young students. In response, I am excited to offer a Spanish Enrichment Summer Program at my home on East Terrace on two separate weeks, July 25-29 and August 1-5, from 10am-1pm. Each day your student will be introduced to age/level appropriate grammar and vocabulary around a certain theme and engage in activities to enhance their understanding of the concept(s). Students will have the opportunity to explore and create art, music, sports and cuisine from the Spanish-speaking world and will be engaged in hands-on activities each day. In order to provide an optimal learning environment with individualized instruction, I am choosing to keep the number of students enrolled each week to 10.
