This workshop provides an introduction to folks interested in small scale and backyard bee keeping
Topics to be covered include:
Location and equipment requirements
Basic honey bee biology and swarming
Presence and mindfulness in the bee yard
Non toxic pest and disease control
The program will be punctuated with an open hive demonstration with the opportunity for hands on experiences for students- weather permitting.
July 16 and 17 9am-4pm
Cost is $125 (includes lunch and supper)
Camping is available
Ross is one of the few beekeepers offering classes on organic beekeeping, and we have the pleasure of hosting him at our homestead in two weeks,
