Arts Amica of Newport and Boston together with Newport Natural Cafe and Gallery will again present an exhibit of Cuban art. The exhibit will be on display for the month of July. This year's feature artist is Juan Carlos Garcia Marerro of Havana. The art of Juan Carlos is whimsical and colorful, and often carries a deeper meaning than first meets the eye. A reception with light refreshments will be held on Friday, July 1 at Newport Natural Cafe. Wine and beer will be available for purchase. There will be a short presentation by Holliey White of Arts Amica, and questions and discussion about Cuban art and the expanding relationship between the US and Cuba will be welcomed. Please join us.
