Past event

Save the date and make sure to attend the WatershED Cafe' at 6:00 p.m. on November 6, at the Charlotte Library. Join the Charlotte WatershED partners and Charlotte community to learn about the "Lake Wise" program. This program offers technical assistance for shoreline property assessment, and management techniques to control runoff and prevent erosion. Lake Wise program manager Amy Picotte will explain how you can earn certification, by using affordable best practices that protect water quality.

A property that earns the Lake Wise Award represents a model shoreland property. The Lake Wise Award certifies a property is well managed, using shoreland Best Management Practices, and is protecting the lake water quality and habitat.

We will have free and delicious refreshments, and raffle off a native landscaping consultation with Nate Carr of Church Hill Landscaping! (You must be present to win.) Questions? Let us know via Facebook, stop by the Charlotte Library, or email charlottevtcc@gmail.com.
