Carillon Concert at Norwich!

This Saturday at 1 pm the summer carillon concert series kicks off f at Norwich University with a recital by Elizabeth Vitu and her husband, Laurent Pie. This husband and wife duo, who make their home in France, will be performing compositions arranged for four hands and feet. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and relax in the shade to the ethereal sounds of carillon bells. The Saturday series will continue throughout the month of July, with the final concert taking place on Saturday, August 6, There will also be a special 4th of July concert on Monday, July 4, beginning at 1 pm. Following each concert, visitors are invited to tour the tower, meet the musicians, and view a demonstration on the instrument. As always, these concerts are free, open to the public, and handicapped accessible. The bell tower is located on the Upper Parade Ground at Norwich, next to Jackman Hall.
