The Humane Society of the United States is holding this free grassroots meeting to discuss current animal welfare issues with local residents. The meeting will be hosted by the Homeward Bound Animal Welfare Center in our new facility and we are excited for this opportunity for our supporters to engage with fellow animal advocates on a statewide level.
Among the areas of discussion will be the current state of animal welfare legislation affecting both companion animals and farm animals, along with how Vermonters can get more involved locally and state-wide to improve their legal protections. If you're concerned with puppy mills, farm animal welfare, or generally creating a more compassionate Vermont, please attend this free meeting, and find out what you can do to help.
