Friends of Burnham Library Book Sale This Weekend

Past event
Jun 24, 5 PM to 2 PM, Jun 26, 2016

This weekend, the Friends of Burnham Memorial Library will be holding their annual summer book sale. It runs from Friday (June 24) through Sunday (June 26), and takes place at the Colchester High School.

There will be thousands of books for all ages and preferences - kids and adults, fiction and non, new and classics, including mysteries, picture books, biographies, self help, cookbooks, romance, history, craft books, and more, as well as CD's and DVD's. There will also be a silent auction for rarer items.

The sale is the Friends' biggest fundraiser, and helps to support the library's programming throughout the year. It allows us to offer events such as cheesemaking and needle felting, archery and juggling, and science programs and theatre performances, as well as our summer reading program for kids and teens.

The sale starts with a preview for Friends of the library on Friday night, from 5-8 pm, but you can join at the door (for $5). Saturday runs from 8 am-4 pm; and Sunday, from 10 am-2 pm, when everything that's left is on sale. It's located at Colchester High School, at 131 Laker Lane, just off Blakely Road. Please note, we are not able to take any more book donations at this point.
