The McLanes' are a Vermont-based couple who began their performing career in 2010. Their search for a repertoire that would fit their diverse musical backgrounds and interest in a wide variety of music led them to making their own arrangements of existing folk-inspired classical music. In making these arrangements, Annemieke & Jeremiah have managed to bring out multiple layers of voicing, coloring, timing and emotion, creating a sound that is simultaneously classical, improvisational, exuberant, introspective, and passionate. The duo has performed in California, Florida, New York, Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire. Their repertoire includes works by Astor Piazzolla, Edvard Grieg, Francis Poulenc, Anton Dvorak, Alan Hovhaness, as well as their own compositions.
