Grand Opening of Weeks Forest Carriage Trail July 2

Past event
Jul 2, 2016, 10 to 11:30 AM

The Guilford Conservation Commission is hosting a ribbon-cutting and offering guided walks of the newly-restored Carriage Trail in the Andrew Weeks Memorial Forest (located in Guilford Center, on Carpenter Hill opposite the Old Brick Schoolhouse.) With help from Guilford's 6th graders, the town road crew, MT3 Unlimited, Clear Solutions, and many other volunteers, we've been working to improve a 0.4 mile trail that winds through beautiful woodlands and includes historical remains of Guilford's remarkable Spring Farm Spa and mineral water bottling industry. Please join us on July 2 to enjoy its natural features, learn about its historical significance, and celebrate its opening. (if heavy rain, moved to July 3.)
