Artsfest (Stone Valley Arts Summer Explosion Festival)

On Sunday, July 3, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Stone Valley Arts invites the community to celebrate Independence Day before Poultney lights the fireworks at our 2nd Annual SUMMER ARTS FEST at the Stone Valley Arts Community Center at Fox Hill in Poultney.

The gallery will open for the first time featuring “THE LAKE SHOW,” a community exhibit of art and artifacts representing the lakes region. Artists of all ages are encouraged to submit original artwork or personal mementos to be on exhibit through August 14, 2016.

Enjoy music by Spruce Knob Uprising, Green Mountain High Jazz Ensemble, Howard Banow, and dance performances by Yvonne Brunot, Arnia Cervantes and Company, as well as Vital Spark (a cello, piano, dance, poetry collaboration). Other activities include: Slam Poetry performances, The Poet Is In, Chalk mandalas, and art activities for all ages.

A silent auction will also take place. Please join us for an exciting and inspiring afternoon celebrating the arts, including locavore food and beverages. Suggested donation of $10.

WHY YOU SHOULD GO?: Discover what is happening in Poultney and how you can get involved in the arts, listen to great musicians, interact with beautiful lake art, and get creative with new neighbors.
