Achinda Family Benefit Concert

Please come to this special concert titled "An Evening in an African Village." This incredible Hinesburgh refugee family will sweep you away to an African village when they sing traditional Swahili gospel music with multi-harmony, call and response, polyrhythmns, and percussion. The Wake Robin Gospel singers and the Hinesburg children's choir will also perform. This family is following in the footsteps of the Trapp Family singers who fled to this country and first shared their musical talents with their fellow Vermonters.

The event is taking place at the large historic barn moved by Andrea Haulenbeek to her property on Baldwin road in Hinesburg. This barn is magnificent and will be used as a venue for special events for many years to come. Its original home was in the northeast kingdom and now it has found a wonderful home in Hinesburg thanks to Andrea.

We hope many of you will come and share in what is sure to be a magical evening in July and a highlight of the summer.

Thanks to all of you,

Debbie Allen
