Love to garden? Hate waste? Want to know how to keep food scraps from making your trash smelly while creating beautiful rich soil? Join the Central Vermont Solid Waste Management District for a free composting workshop on Saturday, June 25, from 10 am - noon at the Bradford Academy to learn more about composting in your back yard.

We'll talk about the basics of composting, how to keep critters out and smells down, answer your troubleshooting questions, and we'll bring Soil Savers and Green Cones for sale at-cost for people who want reduced-priced equipment to get started right away. Refreshments and door prizes will be offered. Please bring a friend and bring your ideas and questions.

This workshop is free to all residents of the CVSWMD member towns, including:
Bradford, Fairlee, Barre City, Barre Town, Berlin, Calais, Chelsea, East Montpelier, Hardwick, Middlesex, Montpelier, Orange, Plainfield, Tunbridge, Walden, Washington, Williamstown, and Woodbury.
