7.00 p.m.: Welcome and Introductions

7.05: City Council Update from Sharon Bushor (Kevin Worden sends regrets)

7.15: Speak Out, Including Burlington Schools Commissioner Kathy Chasan's update on the BSD Budget process.

7.35: Redistricting: "Burlington's latest redistricting proposal subtracts two councillors, adds a Ward and lumps them all into 'precincts'. Got all that?" That's how Seven Days summarized the outcome of the latest City Council vote.
The "Citizen's Committee" hasn't met since June, none of their proposals were submitted to the City Council and our School Commissioners (who presumably are also affected by this) have apparently been kept in the dark.
Democracy in action?
Perhaps, perhaps not.
Councillor Bushor and erstwhile Citzen's Committee member Jim Langan will lead a discussion on the outcome of the vote, the process going forward and the ramifications for the City in general, Ward 1 in particular.

8.00: Ralph Montefusco, Burlington Advisory Committee on Accessibility, to inform, and gather input, about the Committee's role to increase opportunities for people with disabilities.

8.15: Greg Guma, Burlington Telecom Cable Advisory Committee, will introduce us to the Cable Advisory Committee and seek residents' input on channel line-up, services, policies and practices.

8.30: Close.
