Are you ready to golf for a good cause? (Don't worry... No golf skills are actually required.)
If so, we cordially invite you to play in the Lamoille Region Chamber of Commerce’s 18th Annual Wack-a-Doo Golf “Tournament” on Thursday, June 23 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Ryder Brook Golf Course, Morrisville.
The proceeds from this wacky, but grand and posh, affair benefit the Chamber’s High School Student Scholarship Program. The Chamber awards $1,000 in scholarship money to deserving high school students.
How The Wack-a-Doo Works:
A team is composed of four golfers with each golfer playing the entire nine hole course with one club. The first golfer uses a driver, the second golfer uses a wedge, the third golfer uses a 5 iron and the fourth golfer uses a putter. Each team uses only one ball, but teams are encouraged to bring extras... just in case.
As the name implies this is a wacky game so please, no serious competition. Again, NO golf skills are required.
Prizes will be awarded for highest and lowest scoring teams and for a wild card team. Cart rentals will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
On The Day Of The Wack-a-Doo:
Registration is at 3 p.m., followed by shotgun start at 3:30, dinner catered by Vermont Harvest Catering at 5:30 p.m. and award ceremony at 6:30 p.m.
We encourage you and your organization to be a part of this wacky and fun-filled event by taking advantage of one of the many sponsorship opportunities available.
Sounds fun right?
