Did you know that dragonflies spend part of their life in the water, or that bullfrog tadpoles remain tadpoles for up to five years? Learn all about dragonflies, tadpoles, and the rest of the aquatic ecosystem in the underwater world of our local pond at The Nature Museum, in Grafton, VT, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, June 18.
The Nature Museum’s Director of Education Kimberly O’Connor will give a short indoor presentation on pond life, then will lead the group on a brief walk over to the pond across from The Nature Museum. The pond hosts animals of all shapes and sizes, with a variety of life-cycles. Using dip nets, we will search for and learn about insects, fish, amphibians, and pond critters.
The interactive program is geared for all ages and is fun for the whole family. Admission is by donation for the program and for browsing The Nature Museum. RSVP at our website or by calling 802-843-2111.
