The Stone Valley Community Market, your local co-op, invites both members and non-members to attend the 5th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, June 18, from 11 AM to 4 PM. Treats will include Red Hen Pizza topped with local veggies, gluten-free birthday cake, samples of regional foods and more! Enjoy live music at noon. The event will be held at the co-op’s store, 216 Main Street, Poultney, VT.
A prize drawing will be held at 6pm for Members who join or renew by the end of day on Saturday. For non-members, it’s a great opportunity to learn more about this community-owned whole foods resource and the benefits of membership, plus visit with friends and neighbors. While all shoppers are welcome at SVCM, members receive special discounts, advance notice of sales, and a quarterly newsletter with co-op news and recipes.
Stone Valley Community Market is a modern take on an old concept—a store where folks can get the wholesome staples they need for their larders, including: organic, local produce, meats, baked goods and dairy products; high-quality loose bulk foods such as flour, oats, beans, grains, and spices for economical shopping and food preparation; alternative health- and body-care products, Fair Trade goods, and environmentally-friendly home cleaning products. It’s also a place where people following special diets–organic, gluten-free, vegan, macrobiotic, etc.—can find a selection of pure foods they require.
