This Week at Richmond Farmers Market

Past event
Jun 17, 2016, 3 to 6:30 PM

This week come to the farmer’s market to load up on strawberries and find a gift for father’s day! Did you forget? Don’t fret! If you think he’d appreciate a gift from one of our crafters, you can pick up a hand-turned wooden bottle opener or get him a hula hoop or hand-sewn sock creature for him to enjoy with the kids.

Maybe you’d rather get the whole family to pitch in to cook dad a nice dinner? Our farmers will be bringing veggies for your sides and salads; asparagus, beet greens, siber frill kale, salad mix, garlic braids, cucumbers, zucchini/summer squash, head lettuce, scallions, chard, new potatoes, kale, escarole/endive, carrots, shallots, garlic scapes, fresh herb starts including tulsi basil, Greek oregano and thyme. They’ll also have eggs, pork, chicken and lamb sausage for a main course, along with maple syrup, honey, breads, mustards and sauces, croissants, pickles, kimchi, cut flowers, guacamole and prebaked pizzas to bring home. Don’t forget dessert! Pick up some scrumptious strawberries from our Featured Vendor of the Week, Last Resort Farm, to enjoy with your maple cookies and sweet pies!

If you're looking for dinner at the market, we'll have tamales, burke, artisan popcorn and soft pretzels, along with iced tea, lemonade, maple soda, nitro-cold brew coffee and sorbet.

This week on the stage, Karen Krajacic will join us at 5. A keenly observant and concise songwriter with an unassuming approach to both music and life, Karen Krajacic happily inhabits a niche along the outskirts of the musical mainstream, quietly going about her work of creating, recording, and performing amid the inspiring natural beauty of northern Vermont. Her original songs draw from a myriad of influences- from confessional folk to psychedelic rock, catchy pop to jazz standards, world music to americana. She's currently putting the finishing touches on her latest album, a collaborative effort featuring several guest musicians, which she'll release this fall under the name "Ki and Kin".

We’ll see you there!
