PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL MEETING ON ROAD SAFETY
Have you worried about the safety of Craftsbury Academy students as they walk from classes in the CA building to the arts building and cars speed by? Or the safety of bikers, walkers, runners or equestrians on all town roads? These and other issues of road safety have long been concerns of many in Craftsbury and as a result of the Visioning Process this spring the Selectboard established a Road Safety Task Force to address the issues.
The Selectboard is holding a public informational meeting on Tuesday, June 21 at 7 PM at Town Hall to explore whether the town should provide 50% funding of up to $17,500 for a planning grant to properly address the multiple issues of road safety. These monies would come from the “Good Neigbor Fund”. The planning grant is a prerequisite for applying a grant to implement recommendations which might include sidewalks and various ways to control speeding.
Come to learn about the proposal and provide input on your road safety concerns.
