Melissa Durkee and the band “Chill”
The Town Hall cools off with “Chill” this summer and will be swinging on Saturday, June 18th at 7:30 pm, where the acoustic group, “Chill” will be performing. Melissa Durkee is a classically trained vocalist, seasoned singer, songwriter from Brandon. Mike Cressey is an accomplished musician, producer and talented guitar player from Grantham, NH. Together, they form the down to earth duo “Chill” that features covers and originals ranging from folk, pop and Americana selections. Art Edelstein of the Rutland Herald stated that Melissa's vocals are “somewhat reminiscent of Karen Carpenter" Edelstein also states that th music is "crisp and upbeat and the duo's folk/pop sensibilities are evident and the music has a bouncy quality". Don't miss “Chill's” performance along with Steve Latanision of Boston, MA., a stellar multi-instumentalist who studied at Berklee College of Music.
