Contrary to first impressions, Williston is predominately rural. The Williston Conservation Commission has been instrumental in conserving and protecting natural areas and maintaining a system of primitive trails that allow public access to these areas. Want to find out more about Williston trails? The Williston Conservation Commission and the Dorothy Alling Memorial Library are hosting a guided trail hike of the Sucker Brook Hollow trail on Thursday, June 23, from 5-6:30 PM. We will meet at 5 PM at the trailhead parking lot at 5035 St George Rd and hike 1 mile (uphill) to the Five Tree Hill overlook, where there are great views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks to the west, as well as the Green Mountains to the east. For more information, contact Melinda Scott at 878-6704 or Melinda@willistonvt.org.
