The Lamoille County Sheriff's Department is sponsoring a Community Meeting to be held at the Green Mountain Technology Center in Hyde Park on June 29th at 6:30 PM. The discussion will focus on Opiate Addiction and its affects on families. This is open to anyone in the community whose family or friends have been touched by the Opiate epidemic in the Lamoille County Community. The U.S. Attorney for the District of Vermont, Eric Miller will be a special guest speaker with Sheriff Roger Marcoux facilitating the discussion. Many Lamoille County Community Partners will be there to discuss resources available to help families through this public health crisis.

Sheriff Marcoux stated that the purpose of the meeting is to hear from the public their concerns, and to encourage people to reach out for help and not suffer the heartbreak addiction brings alone.

Sheriff Marcoux also announced that the Lamoille County Sheriff's Department has acquired Naloxone, an overdose reversing drug. Deputies will be carrying Naloxone after completing training very soon.

Please mark June 29th on your calendar and plan to attend!
