Enjoy an evening learning about The Long Pond Natural Area (LPNA) in Greensboro, Vermont. Kestrel Owens will present on conservation in general as well as the history and ecology of the LPNA that he studied and compiled in his Craftsbury Academy Senior project. This hidden gem is owned and protected by The Nature Conservancy. The LPNA consists of 797 acres of upland forest, cedar swamp and 1,500 feet of undeveloped shoreline surrounding Long Pond. It is open to the public for hiking. Participants can go home with the map of the trails that he made and an excitement to visit this little known area.
