“With Memorial Day behind us it's now time to jump into your summer activities,” says Wayne Foster, Chair of the Valley Rotary Club’s 5th Annual Mad River Valley Charity Golf Tournament. “If you are looking for a great way to get outdoors before the summer heat arrives, why not join us on Saturday, June 18, 2016 (Father's Day Saturday) and play in our tournament, held at the Sugarbush Resort Golf Club.”
The Mad River Valley Rotary Club is pleased to announce that the day’s activities are being supported by Cabot Creamery, Downhill Media, The Village Grocery, Suburban Propane, Jamieson Insurance, MadRiver Massage, Paige & Campbell, Mehuron’s Market, Gillespie Fuels & Propane, and Sugarbush Realty.
Registration will start at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m.
The tournament will be played in an 18 hole scramble format. Longest Drive, Hole In One, and Closest to the Pin contests will also be offered along with a practice range and putting. Mulligans will be available, and a pro from Sugarbush Resort Golf Club will hit one of your drives, each for a modest additional contribution. Following the tournament, awards and raffle prizes will be distributed at the awards reception.
“What else could you ask for,” says Foster. “Not only will you have the opportunity to spend a day with friends at the Sugarbush Resort Golf Club, but you will also be benefitting our communities as the Tournament’s proceeds go to fund the many activities and organizations supported by the Mad River Valley Rotary Club in The Valley and central Vermont.”
Foster encourages you to sign up promptly as registration is limited to the first 32 teams. You may sign up as a team ($400) or as an individual ($100). New this year: the entry fee for Sugarbush Golf Club Passholders is only $70, a $30 discount. Hole Sponsorships are also available at $100.
