Ever wonder just who are the singers in the dawn chorus? Have you seen or heard a bird and haven't been able to identify it? Come out to Stowe Land Trust's Birding ID and Habitat Basics walk this Saturday. Meet SLT board member Meg Kauffman, and ecologist & SLT Conservation Program Manager, Kristen Sharpless, for a friendly intro to identifying some common birds by sight and sound. We’ll observe birds during nesting season on a leisurely walk through the varied habitats at DuMont Meadow. We’ll also discuss what makes great habitat for songbirds along with some simple things you can do to make your woods more bird-friendly. Meet at the Town stump dump at the end of Adams Mill Road at 8 AM. Bring binoculars if you have them. No experience required. All ages welcome. No dogs, please.
