Are you, or do you know, a recent graduate or young adult who is just starting out on their own and needs some financial advice?
Merchants Bank, in conjunction with the FDIC, is offering a series of Money Smart classes for young adults which will help them learn the basics of handling their money and finances, including how to create positive relationships with financial institutions. Equipping young people in their formative years with the basics of financial education can give them the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to manage their finances once they enter the real world.
In this upcoming “Charge it Right” workshop at the Waterbury Public Library, participants will understand how to use a credit card responsibly and what to do when a credit card is lost or stolen. They will explain why credit is important, the purpose of credit cards and how they work, how to use credit responsibly, and more.
Space is limited! Please call the library to register: 244-7036.
