Red Barn Hayloft is a new bluegrass band in our area, and the Brookfield Community Partnership is excited to feature them at our 2016 season opening event this Saturday 6/11. Music starts at 6. Because they're relatively new, let me introduce you:
Red Barn Hayloft is a four piece band steeped in traditional bluegrass that play a variety of tunes featuring high lonesome two part harmonies, and straight forward driving picking. Songs range from Bill Monroe classics to fiddle standards, and a few newer grass tunes thrown in for good measure. Members Andy Stone, Clay Purvis, Jonathan Falby, and Tim Gershon all reside in the greater Randolph/Brookfield area with their young families.
Fun fact: What many might remember as the "Silver Dome" is the band's homebase. They often practice in the hayloft of this historic red barn (hence the band name!).
