Jenni Johnson Returns to the Old Firehouse with the Jazz Junketeers on June 10
Jenni is a widely travelled jazz singer whose home and roots are in Vermont. She has performed "Moonlight In Vermont" around the world, in places such as Yaroslavl and Rostov in Russia, Paris, Montreal, and at the Old Firehouse in the world’s only Tinmouth. Her full, smooth voice offers an ideal format for her collection of American jazz classics, as well as, blues, swing, and funk music.
Firehouse audiences have been excited many times by her unique style and versatile renditions. She's had them smiling from their souls, while their feet danced happily to the beat. Jenni says she's still learning how to use her instrument, the vocal chords, with each performance. At the Old Firehouse she’ll be backed by the Jazz Junketeers, a group of jazz playing friends who blend perfectly with Jenni.
The Old Firehouse is 200 feet south of the intersection Vermont 140 with Mountain View Road in downtown Tinmouth. Doors will open at 7 PM. There is a suggested donation of $10 to $15, 90% of which goes to the performers. 10% goes to the town to maintain the building. Home made desserts, coffee and tea will be available. Donations for them will help support community activities.
This is the final concert for our spring series. Fall concerts at the Old Firehouse begin with the Plumb Bobs on Friday September 9.
