Remote Camping on Waterbury Reservoir Oct. 9

Past event
Oct 9, 2013, 5 to 9 PM

If you frequent Waterbury Reservoir, you are likely familiar with the 'unofficial' remote campsites located along the shoreline. (Not Little River Campground). The Vermont Department of Forests, Parks & Recreation has been working on ways to better manage the remote camping in order to enhance the experience for everyone and to better protect the shoreline resource.

A public meeting is scheduled for Wed. Oct 9, 5:30 - 9:00 pm at St. Leo's Hall in Waterbury.

Whether you are a frequent user, someone interested in future camping, just curious about the remote sites, or simply someone who cares about the reservoir, we would like to hear from you.

The open house portion of the meeting will run from 5:30 - 7:00 pm will be an opportunity to talk with ANR staff, provide comment and complete a survey. Then at 7:00 pm there will be a presentation about the campsites and some of the current issues relating to them. Public comment and questions will also be encouraged during this portion of the meeting.
