Saturday, June 11 from 9 am to 1pm at Shoreham's Platt Memorial Library: Pick up a new book, purchase locally grown annuals and perennials, or indulge your sweet tooth with fresh rhubarb pie.
The annual fund-raiser — a major source support for the Shoreham library — will feature thousands of donated books, DVD and VHS movies, and a selection of plants donated by local greenhouses and individuals. Among the plants for sale will be flowering annuals and perennials as well as herbs and succulents; a master gardener will be on hand to answer all gardening questions.
Shoreham’s best pie bakers will provide a taste of spring with rhubarb pie, available whole or by the slice; coffee and tea will also be available for sale. Additionally, visitors can purchase raffle tickets for a painting by Shoreham watercolor artist Deborah Holmes. Proceeds from the raffle, which will be drawn in September, will benefit the library’s building fund.
