Sweet potatoes are ideal for Champlain Valley gardeners with sandy, silty, or loam soil. Each slip can produce up to five pounds of delicious Orleans sweet potatoes. We are also selling burlap coffee sacks, which are great for weed block on your garden paths and sweet potato hills! All proceeds benefit VCGN’s garden education programs. VCGN staff will be at Red Wagon Plants on Saturday to answer all your sweet potato growing questions and give out free samples of sweet potato dishes.
