Please join your Ferrisburgh Girl Scout Brownie troops for a very special free art show highlighting the stories of some of the amazing women in our community!
We have been working on a year-long project focusing on "It's Your Story, Tell It! Brownie – A World of Girls" series of patches. This, in conjunction with the idea of StoryCorps and the power of oral histories, the troops have worked hard at developing their interview skills with Ric Cengeri from Vermont Public Radio; public speaking with Miss Vermont 2015, Alayna Westcom; and improving their painting skills with local artist, Janet Seaburg, along with many others!
The girls spent the year getting connected to the amazing patchwork quilt that is our community.
Please join us at the KB Cafe in the Kennedy Brothers building in Vergennes on 6/4 from 1:30 - 3pm for an amazing art show with a chance to meet some of our interviewees and share in their wonderful stories. Refreshments will be served
The display is available for viewing now and will be up for several weeks, so if you can't see it Saturday, we hope you can view it at your convenience.
