Hello Friends and Neighbors,
Open House at Windekind Farm tomorrow from 4PM to 6:30PM, come see what we have been up to with the Commons at Windekind.
For over a year Marijke and I have developed a unique land use model based on clustering development, permaculture and sustainable agricultural principles that now is headed toward implementation with families joining in. We are creating a neighborhood that is aesthetically uplifting, culturally rich, environmentally and economically sustainable and affordable for younger families.
You might be interested in how we put this together and the principles that we followed to make it work. One family from Huntington has joined in; we seek others because one of our core goals is to create a strong local presence and community contribution.
Maps and other material will be available at the farmhouse, we will be available to answer questions and discuss the project. Food and refreshments will be served. Come see our gardens that are springing into summer action.
