The 2016 Preservation Burlington Homes Tour is coming up on June 4!
This year’s tour features an eclectic mix of Burlington’s historic homes. Come and tour the home of Vermont’s Episcopal Bishop, a 120-year-old Tudor Revival style structure tucked away on the shore of Lake Champlain. Also see a stately, mid-19th century brick Federal style home on South Union Street — recent winner of Preservation Burlington’s Historic Preservation Award for residential properties — as well as the Hill Section home and studio of artist Diane Gabriel.
The Homes Tour is Preservation Burlington’s biggest fundraising event. Proceeds from the tour will go towards the organization’s many other educational programs. Tickets are available at the Flynn Center Box Office (www.flynntix.org) for $20. For more information, go to: www.preservationburlington.org; info@preservationburlington.org
We are also looking for volunteers to assist with the tour. Volunteers will have free admission to the homes for half of the tour. If interested in volunteering, or for more information, email Matt Viens at mlviens@comcast.net.
