Will Patton Quartet - Friday!

Past event
May 27, 2016, 7 to 9 PM

Combine a jazz/choro mandolinist with a symphony violinist who also plays bluegrass and hot swing, add a string bass player who came of age working the Chicago blues clubs with the likes of Howlin' Wolf and Buddy Guy, and a professor of music who also plays jazz/ fusion guitar. Stir in a little rock & roll attitude and season for 10 years in small clubs and large concert halls and you’ve got the Will Patton Quartet.

Will's lovely daughter Anna will be joining the band in a special appearance. Anna Patton comes from a richly eclectic musical background of jazz, classical, traditional and world music. She can be heard performing on clarinet with the innovative dance band Elixir, the Will Patton Ensemble, the Julian Gerstin Sextet, and the Dunham Shoe Factory. As a solo artist and as part of these groups, Anna produced five self-released albums, and she has played on many other albums as a guest instrumentalist.

7-9 p.m. at The Meeting House on the Green at 53 School Street, East Fairfield. Suggested donation at the door of $10/pp supports the Meeting House Preservation Project. Desserts, coffee, wine and beer available.
