Past event
May 28, 2016, 10 AM to 5 PM

This action-packed exhibit created by the Minnesota Children's Museum will give your mind AND body a workout. Just in time for the 2016 Olympics, train like an action star and use the adventure scenes to get moving!

Opening day will bring to ECHO special superhero guests from the Valley CW and Vermont Comic Con.

Some features you'll experience in "Run! Jump! Fly!":
Balance: Surf/Snow
• Choose one of the four balance boards and see how long you can stay on for the ride. Can you make it down a snow slope, through the air, into the ocean and onto shore without losing your balance? Which board was the easiest/most difficult to maintain your balance?

Strength: Climbing Canyon
• Use your hands and feet to make your way across a horizontal climbing wall. Choose from four paths: Toddler Trail, Rugged Ridge and Extreme Expanse to find the hidden treasure.

Coordination: Kung Fu Forest
• Try the three animal stances: rooster, snake, tiger in the bamboo forest. Once you have learned all three, combine them into a flow of action.

Endurance: Flycycle Sky
• Ride a bicycle with wings and see how far you can go in two minutes. Can you light up all the stars in the sky?

Action Star Training
• Yoga Station: Balance on one foot in the tree pose. Try and stretch into cat, cow, bridge and dog pose.

Strength Center
• Lift, hold and pull your own weight at the monkey bars. Build your leg strength while you push your feet into the leg press. Develop upper-body strength with the rower. Test how many chin-ups you are able to do at the chin-up bar.

Dance Club
• Choose dance moves and music, follow the dancer on the screen or go freestyle. Put your finger in the pulse monitor. Will dancing increase your heart rate?
