Birding on Reservoir This Sunday Morning
Join Mad Birders and Friends of Waterbury Reservoir paddling in search of migrating and resident birds on Sunday, May 29, from 7:30 am to 10:00 am.
Under the guidance of local naturalist Zac Cota-Weaver of the Mad Birders, we will paddle from Waterbury Center State Park, and spend the morning exploring the coves and bay in search of waterfowl, wading birds, and woodland denizens.
The largest body of water in Central Vermont, Waterbury Reservoir provides great opportunities to spot migrating songbirds like Scarlet Tanager, Rose-breasted Grosbeak and Canada Warbler, as well as residents such as American Bittern, Common Loon, and Bald Eagle.
