The excitement is building for the 2016 Farmers’ Market season! The Market is held every Thursday, 3-6:30 through early October at Mills Riverside Park in Jericho.
We have a great Market set up for you with new programs and community activities as well as your old favorites. We will be continuing our Market Token program allowing us to accept both Debit Cards and EBT Cards (SNAP/3SqauresVT). We will continue to host musicians through “Music at the Market,” and will be expanding our kids programs!
Make the Farmers’ Market your first stop for your weekly shopping! Come get veggies, eggs and plant starts from a variety of vendors including Home Farm, Maple Star Farm, Nama Farm & the Farm at VYCC. Get something sweet from Mt. Creek Apiary, Vermont Maple Forest Products or Walker Maple. Get a grab & go dinner or ingredients for your own creation from Ate Oh Two Sauces, French Way Bakery, Agricola, and King Girls’ Bread.
Local meat- chicken, lamb, pork and beef round out the grocery selection!
Get plants for your garden or lovely cut flowers for your home from Poker Hill Gardens. Find lovely handcrafted gifts for yourself or someone else from vendors such as Pelkey’s Unique Birdhouses, Donny’s Doors, Jennifer Dirkmaat Jewelry & Hounds Bay Woodworking.
Have some time to relax? Get a massage from Inventing Healing Massage or hang out for a while to listen to music and visit with friends while you enjoy prepared food from returning favorites Mostar Home Catering and Mediterranean Mix. Or check out our new vendors - Northern Fire & Slice (pizza) or Pie Empire (savory hand-held pies).
Music at the market this week will be Front Porch Foursome: Charlotte Reed, Britni Bigelow, Kathy Mulligan, and Nancy Geise — four women who hail from Jericho and Underhill — perform contemporary folk covers from the Wailin’ Jennys, Brandi Carlile, Nickel Creek and others.
