Mark your calendars!

Thursday, October 10 at 5:30 pm, we celebrate Local Foods Week with a "Green Dinner" and a conversation about food. Who grows it, where it comes from, and how the decisions we make about food have a larger impact than we may realize. Presented as one of the Things That Matter series from the Charlotte Congregational Church, food justice is a topic of interest within the church community and we wish to open it up to the greater community.

We are fortunate to have Kim Erno lead this discussion. Kim is a Vermont minister who is the Director of FARM (The Franklin Alliance for Rural Ministries). He spent many years with communities of Latin America and in Mexico and produced of a documentary film called "El Muro y El Desierto" (The Wall and the Desert.)

In addition, Will Burhans, minister of the Charlotte Congregational Church and an accomplished musician will perform with Dominique Dodge (vocalist and harpist) as part of the evening.

A delicious supper of local foods will be served at 5:30 pm. A suggested donation of $12 for the evening is requested. Good food, meaningful conversation and great music!

Please RSVP to me so we can set a place at the table for you. Transportation is also possible if needed.

Thanks!
