Don’t miss the opening day of the Champlain Islands Farmers’ Market Saturday, May 21st from 10:00-2:00 at Saint Joseph's Church in Grand Isle!

It may seem hard to believe that the islands farmers have produce to sell so early in the season, but seeing is believing! Look for Asparagus, Arugula, Asian greens, Braising mix, Chives, Salad mix, Spinach, Swiss chard, Radishes , Ramps, Rhubarb and the elusive greenhouse cukes. If you want to welcome spring by planting your own garden, you will be pleased to find veggie, herb and flower starts. I’ll be there selling our very local grass fed beef. If you value the taste and the health benefits of grass fed beef, please swing by the Health Hero Farm tent.

The weather forecast for this weekend is looking good! You might enjoy hanging around, listening to live music and buying a lunch from one of our prepared food vendors. There will be free wine samplings, and you can buy a bottle to take home. There are many other farm products, as well as jewelry and hand crafted items. Please visit our website -- champlainislandsfarmersmarket.com -- for more information about our vendors.
