Annual Adamant Blackfly Festival
Saturday, June 4 at the Adamant Co-op
Rain or shine!
Come celebrate the bug we love to hate at the Adamant Blackfly Festival! We’ve got live music, great food, the quirkiest parade you've ever seen, a pie contest, poetry slam, and hilarity all day long. The festival is free and fun for all ages!
New this year: The BLACKFLY PARADE and FASHION SHOW have merged. Create your own costume, or strut the two-lane dirt runway/parade route wearing one of ours. There will be a marching band, local tractors, and fabulous floats, including a rendition of “Where the Wild Things Are” that would make Maurice Sendak proud. Not to toot our own kazoo, but past parades have been described as “campy,” “a whole lot of fun,” and “the Macy’s Day Parade of the Insect World!”
