The Vermont Crafts Council is having the 24th annual Spring Open Studio Weekend on Memorial Day Weekend, May 28 – 29. Over 200 artists are participating statewide and more information about the event can be found at the Vermont Crafts Council (http://www.vermontcrafts.com/links/open.html).

Here at Hunger Mountain Arts in Middlesex, Ira and I participated in the annual Open Studio weekends usually at our home. This year we are partnering with 3 other artists to form a hub for arts, gifts and fine crafts at the Worcester Town Hall, Route 12, Worcester, VT (8 Mi. North of Montpelier, Rt. 12). We are joined by Marcia Hill from Worcester, presenting lovely pastel paintings and art gifts ( http://www.marciahillart.com), Francette Cerulli, Worcester, presenting beautifully crafted textiles (http://backroadtextiles.com) and Pamela Wilson, working out of Barre, presents her modernistic ceramic tableware (http://www.pamelalynnwilson.com). Ira will have is spectacular woodturned bowls, vases and other wood products and I will present my pastel, oil and acrylic paintings along with art gifts (http://www.hungermountainarts.com). This will be an opportunity for Open Studio goers to see an array of fine arts and professionally crafted items in one location and all made by local Vermonters. Some of us are having deep sales in honor of Spring so come see what you can find.
