Join South Hero Land Trust for Spring Wildflower Walk!

Past event
May 21, 2016, 10 to 11:30 AM

The wildflowers are in bloom at the Landon Community Trail! Spring ephemeral wildflowers- with names like spring beauty and Dutchman's breeches- take advantage of a short window of sunlight on the forest floor before the tree canopy closes, blooming briefly during the months of April and May. Join South Hero Land Trust for the fifth walk in our 2016 Naturalist Series at South Hero's Landon Community Trail. Community member and naturalist Chuck Hulse will lead us as we walk the trail and search for these colorful, short-lived blossoms.

Chuck has recently completed an e-book of the wildflowers of the Landon Farm. He'll share this fantastic resource with us and teach us the basics of wildflower identification!

Saturday, May 21st, 10:00-11:30 am. Free event.
Meet at the Landon Community Trail parking area, please call for directions.
RSVP's welcome: Contact Katy at 372-3786 or katy@shlt.org to let us know you're coming!
