Global Labor Film Festival at Old Labor Hall May 22

On Sunday May 22 at 7:00 pm, the Old Labor Hall is hosting the 4th annual Global Labor Film Festival with a showing of "How Green Was My Valley" the 1941 Oscar-winning story of a close, hard-working 19th century Welsh mining family.

The film was directed by John Ford and features Walter Pidgeon, Maureen O'Hara, and Roddy McDowall. It was nominated for ten Academy Awards and won five, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Cinematography, and Best Supporting Actor. The film also received awards from the New York Film Critics Circle, and in 1990 was selected for the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress.

Admission is free. Light refreshments will be available.
