The Essex Junction Planning Commission will be meeting on Thursday, May 19th at 6 PM at the Village Offices (2 Lincoln Street, right at the Five Corners).
The first item is called “Audience for Visitors.” This is your chance to discuss an issue or concern that you want to share with the Commission. If your comments relate to an application scheduled for later on in the meeting, you must hold your comments until that item comes up for discussion.
The second item is “Additions or Amendments to the Agenda.” At this time, the commission may vote to add additional topics/issues to the agenda. These would be very minor changes that would not need to be warned in advance of the meeting.
The third item is “Minutes Review.” The commission will review and potentially change or approve the minutes of previous meeting(s).
The fourth item is a final site plan review for 6 Franklin Street. This involves: the removal of two buildings, the partial removal of another, and the construction of an 8,882 s.f. building that will hold 40 one bedroom apartments. The building is proposed to be four stories, and similar in style to the existing buildings on Franklin Street. Also planned as a part of this project are 29 additional parking spaces, bike racks, and a small play area.
This is your chance to make your voice heard - hope to see you there!
