Please join us for our annual walk to support the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance. OCNA has led the way in advocacy, research and support for ovarian cancer patients and their families for over 22 years.
This walk was instituted in memory of Suzi Zetkus and Janet Bossange, two inspirational women who made a positive difference in the lives of many people. We invite you to walk with us on Saturday, May 28th! We will meet at Williston Central School (out front) at 8:45am, leaving at 9:00am to walk the 5k loop (bike path to Old Stage Rd., Mountainview, etc.) Donations can be made on the OCNA website (please note in memory of Suzi or Janet), or you can email me if you'd prefer to write a check. I send all checks to OCNA in early June. Here's a link to their website donation page (you may have to copy and paste):

Some important information from the OCNA website:
For years, women have known that ovarian cancer was not the silent killer it was said to be. Over the past decade, science has confirmed what women have long known: ovarian cancer has symptoms.
Women with ovarian cancer report that symptoms are persistent and represent a change from normal for their bodies. The frequency and/or number of such symptoms are key factors in the diagnosis of ovarian cancer. Several studies show that even early stage ovarian cancer can produce these symptoms.
Bloating Pelvic or abdominal pain Difficulty eating or feeling full quickly Urinary symptoms (urgency or frequency) See your doctor, preferably a gynecologist, if you have these symptoms more than 12 times during the course of one month and the symptoms are new or unusual for you.
