Invasives in the Sugarbush - Volunteers Needed

Past event
Aug 10, 2013

Please join me to pull non-native invasives in our sugarbush this Saturday, August 10. Meet at Trillium Hill Farm/Russell Farm at 9 am and work until about 11. The ground is moist and things pull up quite easily. We will be focusing on Common Buckthorn, and Japanese Barberry, but will see and pull a variety of other invasives. If you are unfamiliar with these plants, it will be a good opportunity to learn to identify them.

Wear gloves and bring a shovel if you have it. Wear tick-resistant clothing (long pants and sturdy shoes/boots with socks). Please park in the Town Hall commuter lot or Lyman Park parking lot.
