Stamp Out Hunger Day! May 14

Past event
May 14, 2016

Got your donation ready for Brian? Just a reminder that this Sat, May 14 is national "Stamp Out Hunger" Day. It is a day when mail carriers pick up bagged donation of non - perishables and deliver it directly to a food shelf, which will stay local at our very own food shelf in Worcester!
I am very excited about this Food Drive ( ok, i get excited about All of our fund raisers). It is one of many ways we reach out to the community for support. As a town, we are so very lucky to have a food shelf! Our client base has increasing very year. Because of our food shelf, our neighbors do not have to choose heat/utilities or food. We are here to supplement when money runs out during a month, or in emergencies, when a mother who is suddenly homeless, lives in her car, needs food for her children. We also offer the resources to help with other needs. These are just a few stories that come from our food shelf.
I thank you for your support this Sat AND in every way you come out to help. Whether it is our weekly lunch, clothing swap, talent show, book sale or the many other fund raising events we have.
It means so much to so many!

Karen Hoskey

PS, If you are from another town reading this, your donation will go to the closet food shelf or directly to the Vermont Food Bank.
