In May, it can be difficult to "name" trees. Using a key Lynn created, we will explore the ways you can identify trees whether or not the leaves are fully out. Lynn will be telling stories about this dearly loved plant form. In May, signs of mammal activity continue to be found everywhere. We will study what evidence can be discovered, and what we can learn from these common signs. Discussion and preview of Lynn’s scat and fur collection will begin indoors and then the program will continue outside in the woods. We’ll return indoors for a delicious lunch – included in your registration fee!
For the last 38 years, Lynn Levine has been an environmental educator, tracker and a consulting forester. Lynn has taken thousands of people into the forest.
Space is limited, so pre-registration is required. Early-bird registration (on or before May 7) is $55. After May 7, if any spaces remain available, registration will be $60 per person. There will be no registration on the day of the event. This is a fund raiser for the Halifax Conservation Group.
