The Internet has changed the way products and services are found and sold, locally, nationally and internationally. Google is most people’s go-to for searching for information about someone or something. Businesses that aren’t listed on the first page of search results suffer for lack of visibility and visitors. There are a variety of ways to get your business products/services in front of your target audience.
Valerie will provide insight into how your website can rank higher, get more visibility and be an effective sales tool. Topics will include target audiences, goals and calls-to-action, keywords and search engine optimization (SEO), website page copy, website design and development, search engine marketing (SEM), Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising, social media and how to measure results.

Bio: Valerie McCord has a 30 year career in software engineering and web development. Her current specialty is Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Marketing (SEM). She works with small and medium sized businesses to get their website to rank high and bring in leads and sales. Valerie also serves as Chapter Co-Coordinator for WBON’s Greater Waterbury Area Chapter.
